Dry Needling

(Medical Acupuncture)

Dry Needling / Medical Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique used to relieve pain, reduce muscle tension, and improve movement. It involves the insertion of very fine, sterile needles into specific points within muscles or connective tissue, often called trigger points. Unlike traditional acupuncture, which is based on Eastern medicine principles, dry needling is rooted in modern anatomy and neurophysiology.

By stimulating these trigger points, the treatment can release tight muscle bands, improve blood flow, and promote the body’s natural healing response. This helps reduce pain, restore normal function, and enhance recovery.

Dry needling is commonly used to treat conditions such as back and neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, joint pain, and muscle stiffness. It is often integrated with physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, or manual therapy as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
